Our vision is for every youth we serve to develop: -
An understanding of their family history -
The capacity to build healthy and lasting relationships -
At least one permanent connection with a loving family member or other caring adult who feels a personal stake in the youth’s transition to healthy independence | Our mission is to reconnect children with their families, heal their emotional trauma, and reestablish relationships based on trust, love and permanence. Each year, over 3,000 youths “age out” of the foster care system in California. Many of these youths have been moved multiple times and separated from their families for years. Children who experience long-term separation from their parents often lose connection with all of their other family members. Without the attachment and support of family, youths are at greater risk for homelessness, unemployment, incarceration, and early pregnancy. |
